Yeah, I guess there's nothing better than the real thing...since I'm broke, maybe I will just paint them the same color as the car...
    Thanks!

By ease of application, do you mean difficult? Silvachrome, and similar processes by other companies, are not as easy as they may appear. The biggest problem with these products is yellowing of the topcoat. We discontinued the product because people had so much difficulty getting good results.

Plating real chrome onto your nonmetallic bumper will be just as difficult and impractical. Send it to a plater.

    Chroming large objects

I should have wrote "achieving a chrome-like finish" on large objects, mostly non-metallic.

I put off buying the Silvachrome a while back and now see that it's discontinued and that my best bet is Silvaspray and a plating kit. My question is, how do I do something as large as a car bumper. A tank is needed right?

Someone directed me to Mirrachrome by Alsa Corp. it's a one-part chemical that can be clearcoated. But, it's expensive!

Does Caswell make anything similar to Silvachrome in terms of ease of application?

    Thanks,
    Owen
