I have 10 years experience as a plater. I have plated everything except a triple chrome set-up. Can anyone tell me the operating tempatures of the copper, nickel, and chrome baths? Also temp. of anything else associated with a Decorative chrome set-up. I am just getting started setting up a 15 gal line. Also any reccommended books would be helpful.thanks

The Flash copper will work at 90-115F. The nickel formulation seems to do well around 110-120F, as does the acid copper.
Caswell recommends 105-115 for the NEW decorative chrome plate.
So presumably you could use 110F for everything and keep life simple.

I hard chrome plate @ 130F +/-5, if it goes above or below these temps, the part will be cloudy or white looking, and will not bond well. Is this true with a decorative chrome bath? so I would be safe to operate everything @ 110F doing decorative plating? thanks
