old copy chrome vs. new copy chrome

I was told by tech support the new CC has no nickel. I've polished it up side by side with real chrome and they are nearly identical. I've found it tarnishes, though.

does the new formulation copy chrome have any difference in appearance in comparison to the old? more blue, or something? curious. mike
