  • Is the Plug-N-Plate kit right for me

Im looking for an alternative to sending my stuff out to plating shop..

Most of the stuff Im looking to get plated is small vintage radio controled parts mosty alloy and some steel parts.

I tried polishing them today and they came out great with a mirror finish.

so with that said is a small copy chrome plug n plate kit good for what im trying to do and can I get a nice finish with it?

do I need to do any other kind of plating to it?

ive added a picture of what some of the parts look like right now.

    Thanks
    mike

Well here is my order... should I be good to go with this kit?

Plug N' Plate? Copy Chrome? Kit
    Stainless Steel Activator - 8oz
Black Krome? Plug N' Plate? Solution
    Plug N' Plate? Nickel Solution

I should have everything polished by the time the kit comes so I definately look forward to this..

Another question: Can I powder coat parts ounce they have been chromed especially if i want to use the candy clear powder coats?

    Thanks
    Mike

Mike i think the plug and plate will work fine for the steel parts .
THE ALLOY on the other hand is a bit more tricky you must use zincate on that and i have never tried to brush plate over zincate . Th e clear powder can be applyed after plating
