  • Masking Chrome on Steel

    Hi,
I want to chrome plate the inner diameter of a Steel model airplane liner. it has some cutouts I want to mask. Also i want to mask the outside diameter. What material can I paint onto the steel that will mask the steel from the chrome plating?
Thanks for any help that you can give me

Maybe you have already found something but you can use just about anything as long as its not water soluable. Try some finger nail polish then use the remover when your done.

      Fly,
thanks for the help! Thats cool too, as If I use a colored nail varnish, I can see how good the coverage is!
      Thanks again!
