Hi,
I am thinking about buying a faucet, but the manufacturer doesn't make a dark finish. Only Chrome or Nickel or brass. I want a dark color (not a uniform black). I want a finish with some dimensionality to it like a weathered copper or Oil rubbed metal.
Is there anything I can do - plating or any other process to get this color?
I imagine the faucet I get will already have been plated with one of the above finishes I think over brass, so this may complicate things.
Any ideas how I can get the kind of dark (close to black) with subtle variations that I am trying for?? Sort of like the color of black tubular steel, you can buy at a metal yard.
Thanks,
dj
