I am getting gray results, even using brightener. I have varied current from 25-100 ma, temp from 80-125 f, but get uneven results at best. I am not trying to make the parts look like chrome, just an even appearance.
    Any ideas??
    Thanks,
    Jeff

    Re: Copy Cad problems

have had my system for a few weeks and have plated a lot of parts anyway I have found to obtain the finish you are looking for it sounds like you need to increase the power for fasteners such as 3/8 I first run them through the tumbler then I plate at .50 to .65 amps and will get a part that looks like chrome. just try a higher amps there should be just a small amount of bubbles frrom the part.

      Jeff:

Unbrightened zinc will always be dull gray. Brightened zinc sould look silver. If you have any photos, post them.

I agree with kingkat, you're not using enough amperage. But it could be due to other causes as well. I just replied to another thread with similar issues. See:
