  • conforming anodes ????

    Hello ,
I am trying to do some dec. chrome to some small pulleys that are a little wider than the chrome will cover . I know that I will have to make some conforming anodes to get in some of the areas . How do I make these and from what ( they will have to be like some kind of wire ) how do I hook this to my anode bars on the side of my chrome tank ? can I run some type of jumper wire from my anodes on the tank sides to the comforming anode so the entire thing will plate at one time ? thanks in advance for any help ....

To get a good idea about anode placement, see our Flash video on the webpage.

Look for 'Videos & Tutorials', then click on the Flash video "Understanding Anode Placement".

I looked at the video but still didnt see just what im looking for . Im going to have to make some anodes to get into some low areas but still also plate the outside of the part also . Take as an example a small wheel if you needed to plate the outside "lip" of the wheel as well as inside the wheel area how would you go about doing that ? what would you make the conforming anodes from ? and how would you wire that so that it all plates together ?

      thanks in advance ....

Do you have our manual? There's a whole section on this starting on page 92 (in the new version).
