Because it's not a real chrome plate, it is not regulated by the EPA. It gives a finish that is indistinguishable from Chrome.
There are many pictures of parts that have been Copy Chromed in our Customer Gallery.
You don't need the three steps. If you're plating onto steel, you can just Copy Chrome directly onto it.
The finish is very durable.

copy chrome/EPA law questions
Caswell,
The copy chrome has no EPA laws, is this kit of same quality
as the other triple chrome kit ?
Can I do copper, nickel, copy chrome, or the copy chrome does not require the copper nickel plating steps?
How long will it take to rust outside on a car?
Are the EPA laws just for chrome plate chemical and does not
apply to the copper, nickel plate chemicals?
Thanks
