Hello All. I have the plug and play silver kit.
I've been doing tank plating with it over brass. What I've found
It takes about four cycles of diping, then wiping off before I get a good color.
I remove the piece from the bath and dry it off, within about 6 hours I have a tarnish on the silver. It wipes off, but then is back soon. I can polish it, but the plate polishes right off with too much rubbing.
So two questions
I am doing this right? Anything that I can do to reducee the tarnish?
I read on here that I could put a top coat of something over the silver to protect it. What would be a good choice? Something like nail polish?
Thanks for any replies.
