  • acid damage on triple chrome

I picked up an old motorcycle. The previous owner had cleaned the inside tank rust with muriatic acid. Some spilled on the exterior triple chrome plate. It looks as if it ate through the chrome and stopped at the nickel layer, although I am not sure of this. Is my guess correct, and can I plate copy chrome onto the damaged area and get a reasonable repair?

    Thanks
    Robert

That's probably likely. Yes, you should be able to use Copy Chrome to repair the damaged area.
