I can't plat aluminum

I need some help. i can't plate aluminum. i tryed to do it on 4 other pices. i can plate every thing else just fine. but not aluminum. and i got the Zincate. it works like the manual says but then when i put it in the nickel tank it comes out looking like it's burned in some places and shiny in other places. and i can't buff all of it out. i don't know what im doing wrong.

After you use the Zincate on Aluminum do you have to plate it in the Flash copper befor you nickel plate? The Zincate instructions in the caswell manual don't say anything about plating it in Flash Copper. and the Nickle instructions say not to put any Zinc/plated surface in regular Nickle.

You can plate in nickel after zincating. Zinc and zincate are not the same thing.
