Should I put on a Flash Copper Base before Copy Chrome? Knowing that Copper is a lot easier to Fix imperfection, maybe I should put down copper before Copy Chrome?

Thanks for responding. It's a bracket that holds the front light on a 1974 Triumph Bonneville Motorcycle.
It's certainly made of iron, but being British, it's probably not high quality steel. I will also be chroming
(Copy Chrome) the Coilover springs, so that answer may be a little different. My feelings are that
it is probably a good idea to always use a base of "Flash Copper"...
      Again, Thanks...
