  • aluminum moldings

    Where can I get some knowledege on fixing aluminum moldings? videos ,books I work on 50's 60' and 70's chevys and every time I send molding to get fixed or buffed it take an act of god to get them back or get them done so I might as well do it my self can you help.

    Probably right here....

    Can you post a little more detail about what these things look like, what's wrong with them that they require fixing etc.

      well for instance I am working on a 64 impala ss side mouldings have door dings and the driver side fender is flat at the end instead of beeing concaved,have a 63 impala coming in that one has small ding mostly needs buffingbumbrs too the guy does not want to dip them the other ones that were done started to peel.Any way the guy that does them no were to be found hes had a set of moulding that the customer has taken his car home 2 month ago.
      pleany of work just nobody to do it.

        The buffing we can help with, the dings aren't really our specialty.

        Aluminum polishing is hard work, but not hard to figure out how to do. Perhaps a kit would get you started...http://www.caswellplating.com/alwheel.htm
