  • Polishing bead blasted aluminum

I've got some cast aluminum parts that have been beadblasted (fine glass bead). If I want to polish them will a black compound/sisal combo be enough to smooth things out or should I expect to do some sanding or other heavy removal (greaseless compound).

the cast alum. i've done required some prity heavy sanding to get all the tiny pits out.you can get it shiney with emery but you will have black pits on the surface.the sanding really makes the difference and i think is well worth the effort.
