what kind of intake manifold ?what exactly do you call the (bottom ) of the runner ? do you mean the sides or the flat area in the bottom of the intake or the flat area where the holes for the manifold to head bolts are on a v6 or v8 manifold ?
there is a few different ways to get to hard to reach areas . cartridge rolls different size shapes and grits, there are lots of different buffing wheels that you can use with greaseless compoundand there are also all kind of felt bobs that can also be used with greaseless compound.
if you do a little search on caswell s site you will probably find everything you need to do an intake manifold
