  • Aluminum buff problems please see pic and help please!!!!!

Hi Im in the process of buffing the aluminum on a horse trailer. The condition was extreme to say the least. I cut the side panels with 180 grit & sisal wheel. To remove lines went to a spiral along with black rouge. Im now experincing black blotches on the surface that will not come out even with the follow up brown. I have been cleaning and raking wheel often. Please see pic......Thank you

those seem to be holes or cavitys in the aluminium if they are then the black spots are buffing compound that gets trapped in those holes .
i don t know how thick the material is but you could try to sand some more in an area to see if the holes dissapear or if new holes will appear .
if they dissapear then you need to re sand the whole part and start over the polishing steps.
if new holes appear when you sand that means the material is too porous and there is no way to fix this.
