I have been using my buffing wheels awhile now. I keep the raked well. my question is what other maintenance can i do to make them last as long as possible? wash? also, how long can i use a wheel? is there a measurement like if you have a 10 in wheel u can take it down to 9 inches??

    Re: wheel maintenance

I wash my wheels in hot soapy water, soaked overnight, and then spin them dry.

Theoretically you can use a wheel until there is nothing left. Practically there comes a point where you need to increase the RPM's to get the required surface speed. That's a good time to change them over to a smaller faster machine.

I was also wondering about the same matter. Thank you for the feedback. Really helpful, love this forum.
Hey, does anyone know about the service that this company - www.ameraguard.com provides? (Spray-on coating?) I want to get it for my truck bed and boat, but would like to hear any and all experiences with it. Thanks!
