how should i protect/coat my buffed aluminum?

two questions..... what's a good way to really clean and removing 'haze' and any remaining coumpound, contaminates etc.? Autosol perhaps?

can anyone reccomend a "clearcoat" aerosol for bare aluminum? i saw one from Eastwood....it actually has two seperate chambers in the can...mixes the two as you spray. i'm sure its very high quality stuff but i sorta hesitate at spending 25 bucks for it. thank you!

I clean off all compound, both between compounds and when done, by first cleaning well with acetone and them washing in hot soapy water.

I never put on a clear coat as it diminishes the pure shine. That's one reason I use stainless a lot even though it's the devil to both work and polish.

To finish off aluminum I use a mildly abrasive polish that has a wax in it that holds up a long time indoors. At least two years.
