I have some aluminum motorcycle cases with some deep gouges that I want to polish up. Is there any material I can fill these gouges up with that will polish up like the aluminum. I've tried a couple of aluminum alloy solders but they polish up a slightly different color. Thanks for your time, Mitch.

Re: Filling In Gouges
I'm not sure of the names. The stuff I tried I believe was an alloy of aluminum, zinc, and antimony and melted around 400 F.
Will this Solder It Aluminum Paste be an exact color match. The stuff I tried was apparently harder too, and buffed up brighter. Thanks for your response, you've got a great site, Mitch.

Re: Filling In Gouges
We can't guarantee a color match. There are thousands of different grades of aluminum.
The material you describe sounds close to the composition of Solder-It.
It's around $7.00. Worth a trial run?--
