Polishing Silver, Gold, Copper

I am starting do do silver, gold, & copper western engraving on things like braclets, bits, spurs, buckles, conchos, etc. I am new to the polishing part of things. How do you debur after you engrave and what should I used to polish. I have been told to use tripoli prior to engraving then use red rouge then green to finish. Any suggestions? I appreciate all advice!
