We have a taillight bezel off an antique Studebaker made of pot metal. What is the easiest way to get the potholes out of these pieces so I can re-chrome them?

Re: Pot Metal
You were right to put thein your post; restoring Pot Metal can be a real problem.
The best thing you could do is to drill out the holes in your part to ensure there is no corrosion left, then fill them using a Solder Paste - http://www.caswellplating.com/solderit.htm
Then plate the part with our Pot Metal Primer - http://www.caswellplating.com/alzinc.htm
You can then copper, nickel and chrome as normal.--
