Possible to get a nice start in your prep with a media blaster? Use some very fine type of media? Anything out there that will remove a rough cast finish and get the metal to around 60-100 grit, even finer? I know nothing about media blasting anyone using anything like this to prep?

i use the media to know the metal done and i go right to greaseless...
i have tryed serval way's adjusting the psi up and down .. glass bead gives a nice semi flat surface ...
every part is started like this :
clean and degreased
placed in the balst box to remove anypaint ect.
then prepped with greaseless and wet sand paper
the better you prep the better it will look
