    I was reading the polishing manual and i see that the speed you want to be at is 7200. How would the finish come out at 6000? What happens after 7200? Newbie. Thanks!!

    you should be in good shape at 6000. The only difference is that the faster you go the more heat develops and the faster you can cut material form the surface. Too fast and it is possible to discolor your rim. I suppose that is why CASWELL suggests not to polish over 7200 rpm.
