Just got a set on Eagle polished wheels and the previous owner let some oxidation take hold on them. Been doing some reading on here but still confused on what buffs and compounds to use? Any help would be appreciated. They are polished aluminum with no coating.

Re: Polished Eagle Wheels
that should be a good start. if the oxidation is light that should be able to bring them back. when done be sure to coat them with something to stop this in the future.when in doubt polish it out/ why replace it when you can refinish it

Re: Polished Eagle Wheels
the 2 best ways i can advise is powder coat them clear, this works great, but without knowing the heat treatment of these wheels there is a possibility that cure temp will weaken them.
the most effective that will seal them and last for at least 2 years is zoopseal. caswell has this and a good support team to answer questions about it. if it were me i would go with the zoop. hope this helpswhen in doubt polish it out/ why replace it when you can refinish it

Re: Polished Eagle Wheels
puckyou,
Were these wheels polished before? Are they new?
I think you will find that they have some kind of coating on them UNLESS they were polishd before. That coating will have to remove before you polish.
Let us know after you start polishing.
