    pics would be a big help in deciphering the issue you may have. it is possible that with the dremel tool and the small attachments you are using that if you stay in one spot to long it will cause the ripples but at this point that is just speculation.

    What kind've part is it? Does it have a rough cast finish? If so, starting off with buffing is skipping a step. It will need to have the roughness sanded out first. Get down to at least a 400 grit, (600 would be better), and THEN start in with the emery and buffing wheel.

    Some pics of the part might help us help you better. Depending on how rough the surface is to start out with, you may not need to go as low in the grit range with sanding. (Which will save you time and energy.)

    need help

    i am polishing an aluminum part with a dremel and small felt tip. after i polish with the black the surface is shiny but bumpy. they look like small rolling hills. in other words its not flat. am i useing to high of a speed on the dremel maybe im applying to much pressure. any help would be appreiciated.
