  • Whats the difference between the buffing and grinding units?

And which one is better betwenn a grinder and buffer of the same cost? What unit is best for around $50 for polishing purposes?

The buffing units have longer shafts and no guards to make buffing easier.

The only buffing unit we currently have in stock is the 3/4HP Buffing Machine - BUFF215 for $215.00

If thats the only difference then why is there such a price difference between two with the same power?
So if I got an expensive grinder that has 3/4 horse poewr and took the guards off, it would be the same as the buffer unit but with shorter shafts?

We don't sell a 3/4 HP grinder. Only 1/4 HP and 1/2 HP.

Yes, you can remove the guards and turn any grinder into a buffing machine. In fact, we've done just that with the 1/2 HP machine. See http://www.caswellplating.com/buffergrinderkit.html
