  • Billet Aluminum

A friend of mine has Billet Specialty wheels that are in a bad need of polishing. They are 16x8 wheels with lots of detail. To just give an example, they went thru the winter with snow and road salt. They have no shine. Please help...

Oh, i have already ordered the tripoli bars, 2 canton flannel wheels and 2 mushroom wheels. Do I need to use the white compound for a brilliant shine or will the brown do it?

Tripoli will make the metal quite bright with a good shine. White will give you more of a luster. I would recommend using spiral sewn wheels whenever possible, they work faster than the loose cotton. As long as the metal is in good condition, you should not have to sand. However, I would use emery on a sisal before going to brown.
