I am polishing my swingarm. I used 240 greaseless and then the black compound and it is looking good. After using the black compound I cleaned the swingarm with water. Then I cleaned it with Flitz. I cleaned it SEVERAL times and my wheels with brown compound are STILL picking up lots of black. How do I clean that stuff off?

ARGH!!!
Okay... I cleaned it with acetone. Hardly any black came off. Very Very small amount. Then I raked a new wheel, got some brown compound on it, and WHAM! Black just like before. And I'm not talking about a little bit of black on the brown. I'm talking ALL black. And also getting black all over my brown compound! HELP!!!! Do all compounds turn black when your shaving off metal and I just didn't know it because the last compound was already black?

Yeah, the laquer thinner may leave the part slightly hazy, not cloudy. If it is cloudy, you most likely still have residue on the part. If when you say the part is black, do you mean the surface has big globs of tripoli compound all over it? You probably need more pressure and speed. What setup are you using? All the compounds turn black.
