    We also supply an anodize remover, which works much better than oven cleaner.

    first,i have friends who have tried clearcoating after polishing(even clear powder coating)but it doesn't hold up.then you have to strip it off and re-polish again.as far as stripping it off,it depends on the piece.i usually try to stip it chemically (paint&decal remover type stuff)or use a d-a type sander w/320 or400 grit paper.if the part is anodized,u can use ez off oven cleaner to get down to bare metal.then polish hard w/tripoli and finish with green or white rouge.hope it helps
