  • sealer on Tiffany green?

I am a custom pen maker and am making a pen out of copper. I have applied Tiffany Green Oxidizer to the copper tubes. When I get the look I want how do I stop the oxidizers reaction? Is this going to be a durable finish and not wipe off with use or should I apply a lacquer coating to the tubes?

I am also going to be trying the Bronze & Blackening and the gun blue finishes for copper. Will they require a lacquer coating?

To stop the reaction, rinse in distilled water.

You can apply a clear lacquer over the part if you wish. Any clear lacquer, such as VHT, should work fine.
