  • What blast media to remove anodizing?

I need a blast media to remove anodising but not change the base metal too much.
I've been told soda blasting won't do it.
Would 100 grade glass beads do it without damaging the surface much or walnut shells, would they remove anodizing ok?

I should also mention that my preferred way to remove anodizing is in a blast cabinet, using glass media at low psi. Plasic bead is typically used in the aviation industry to strip paint. It is very easy on parts, and does a great job removing paint and corrosion.

Why not just strip it with lye or an anodising etch, then your soda blast will finish it off nicely.
