  • CHROME PLATING

I HAVE A PIECE OF ROUND STEEL THAT I HAVE WELDED A CAP ON IT AND NOW I WANT TO CHROME IT, BUT THERE ARE SOME INPERFECTIONS WHERE I WELDED IT. WHAT CAN I USED AS A FILLER SO WHEN I CHROME IT I DON'T SEE ALL THOSE PITS, DOES BRAZING WORK?AND WILL THE CHROME ADHERE TO IT?

You could prep the part flash copper, acid copper then use lead free solder to fill up around the weld then re-acidcopper and let it build up so that you can then sand it down to have the right form and then move on to the chrome plating part.
    Hope that helps.
