So, about wax... What about bee wax* for protecting / preserving a polished surface? Was taught this trick by an old pro; he swore by it. The prerequisite is of course that it not be all too exposed to wear & tear.
I noticed in the archives that there are many references to Carnuba wax. Why just Carnuba? (carnuba is a type of palm tree. They use it to make all sorts of things, and several different types of wax.)
What about car wax? Why not just go down to the auto store and get a can of Turtle Wax or similar?
This is a general sort of question. Refers to generally decorative finishes to aluminum, copper and brass.
