What to use to clean 24kt gold plating?

Should i use like a chrome polish or something? I can't find anything that say's for gold plating.

Flitz will do a good job. Buff it very lightly with a soft cloth.

If it's a large area, use a red compound and a Canton Flannel wheel.

I have used with good results dish washing liquid and a little baking soda, also toothpaste. Good for first cleaning also.
