  • Hardness Question

I was wondering what your electroless nickel and electroless 'chrome' run as far as hardness. Data referenceing the Rockwell 'C' scale would be much appreciated, as I'm familiar with it.

    Thanks,

    Larry

About 45, for both, with the Krome being slightly harder.

Thank you. Would either be more or less appropriate for plating a few firearms?

      Thanks,

      Larry

Nickel is commonly used for this. Use the Electroless Krome if you want a chrome look, as opposed to a nickel look. Nickel has a slightly yellow hint to it, chrome a slightly blue hint.
