Re: HELP!! what media to use on aluminum rims

the 2 things that I use and have been told by the pros to use is aircraft stripper, sold around here at auto parts stores. Used for paints, and powder coatings. Or sodium hydroxide, better known as Easy Off Oven Cleaner, but be carefull using the stuff as it can mar the appearance of the aluminum and add to your work. I know from experience. Good luck and hope that helps you out.
