Don't remove it, coating over chrome works very well. If it has peeled just sand to blend transition areas and scuff the chrome to give the powder something to hang onto.Trying to remove all the chrome would be alot of work that can be avoided.Leave a comment:

Prep before Powder Coating
Hi All, and thanks in advance. I was wonder whats the best way/ways to remove old chrome before powder coating. Do you have to remove every little bit? or is rough sanding good enough? Is burning it off effective(placing the piece directly in the fire)? Any help would be apprreciated.
