  • Clear coating polished aluminum?

I have a fuel rail that I polished - it looks really nice polished but I know it won't last if I put it on the car. Can I clear coat it with super high gloss clear? How do I prep it for the powder? I assume I need to clean it with alcohol or something to get the polishing compounds out, right?

yes , clean with soap and hotwater, air dry and before coating i do a final wipe and clean with acetone or alcool ,

if working with a part that with lots of recessed areas with possible compound hiding in there you can outgas and then do another cleaning cycle
