i want to ask a stupid question. is it possible to pc gas shocks or will they explode when you add heat to them. just wondering.

Chances are, the high temperatures will damage any seals etc, thus ruining the shocks. I wouldnt suggest them unless they are the rebuildable type that you can disassemble.

negative. Chambers will pressurize due to the heat involved and thus compromise the seals. That's strictly a wet-paint application or a plating thing "maybe". Any and all finishing work done on the shocks or strut cratridges are done prior to pressurization from the factory. Sorry... as stated before, powder coating *does* have it's limitations.... Russ
