I'm gonna powder coat an air cleaner. I always remove all paint first. Can I just remove the outside paint where I want to coat and leave the interior paint? Will it hold up in the oven? Thanks

It may hold up simply due to it's being baked on by being in an engine compartment (If this is an underhand car Air cleaner), but I don't recommend it done that way. The hardest part about the Air cleaners in most cars is getting them prepped in all the recesses and hard to reach areas. Good luck and if you decide to carry on without stripping and prepping the inside, let us know how it turns out. I'd be curious to know how it goes.
