Hemi-T, yes I would love to get that cabinet they have but Space is a major issue. Having only a 1 car garage it is at a premium, I needed something that stashed out of the way. I plan on sealing is up as best I can and hope to have it tested by Sat. I also plan on painting the inside white for greater light inside it.

Here are a few pic's of what I got done tonight.

Here is the front of the cabinet. I still need to affix some gloves to the holes and cut hose holes in the side.

The view of something threw the window

Harbor Freight has a nice little bench top blast cabinet that would sit right in that spot for $125. I've had pretty good luck with mine. I recommend sealing up the seams with caulk or Permatex because they leak some dust. I use my Shop Vac through a water bucket to collect the dust, and a painter's clamp light on top so I can see. If you don't seal your cabinet up real good, you'll have grit *everywhere*! Even with my cabinet, I still get some dust and grit in the garage, but *nothing* like blasting without it. I used a cardboard box lined with duct tape to blast a rear end in the garage about 8 years ago. It took weeks to clean up the mess. For a one-off job in the winter it was OK, but next time I'll just wait til spring and blast it outside.

Umm, OK, yeah, Sure thing..... I have some weatherstriping I will be using once I get it all assembled, I just need to see which way everything swings so i install it in the correct spots. . Tomorrow I should have the front on with the access holes and window. Also hanging new Shop light above it for light. I need to figure out what I am doing with the top.

My Space Saver Sand Blast cabinet

Having a space challenge can make you think outside the box. I have a 1 car garage and the wifes car has that place of honor so I decided I needed a Sand blasting cabinet I had to make sure I had room for her car. This is what I came up with, Still need to finish it like front, top and access holes but you will get the idea with these pic's.

    Open ready to go

When done and need the space

Working...
