ok, being a newbie and all I dont want to ask to many stupid questions so Ive read and re-read just about everything in this forum...the lack of sleep is starting to take it's effect.. I'm totally lost now on this...
Can I recoat over something that didnt come out just right or not? How do you apply a clear coat if you cant recoat? I'm probably just missing the boat on this but like my wife says I need to be hit with a 2x4 for somethings to sink in....thanks for your paitence...and help...

Well first things first, you could strip the part back down and recoat that way. I feel that way is the best. What type of pc gun are you using? I had trouble recoating with the hotcoat guns, just not enough Kv there. You could try to heat the part to around 150 to 180 and then apply the second coat. That's how I had to do it with the hotcoat guns. Just watch how much to apply to it on the second coat. Hope this helps. Good Luck

Yes, you can easily apply one coat of powder over another. I've fixed mistakes this way, and it is also necessary to be able to clear coat another color. Caswell's gun will apply second, and even third coats with no problem. Once a coat is properly cured, it will not "re-melt". You just apply the next coat like you did the first. In this way powder is very forgiving, and does not necessarily need to be stripped if you make a mistake on the first coat. Hope this helps.
