I had the same question. I was told that it would work in an oven but not for radiant heating. The only problem is that even the high heat silicone sealers give off fumes when heated in an oven, that might have an effect on the color. 3M makes several high heat masking liquids. Getting your hands on them is tricky because they're industrial grade and toxic. I would get all the different size tapes and a really good exacto knife set and practice,practice,practice.

Thanks...I was sorta tryin to look for the cheap way out.....never fails for me..it's always the high road.....think I would have learned that and belived it when my twin girls were born 15 years ago...thanks again..

That is what i do!! it works very well like that and you dont use as much tape. Which is a +.
