    Hi,
Can you powder coat over chrome plating , is there anything
special you have to do to prep it?

All I do is give it a blast, to give the coating something to adhere to. You can also put some of the transparent powder right over it without blasting for a really neat look. I've done that for a bunch of people.

Just make sure it is clean of any oils right, Then hit it with a Clear top coat with say, some metal flake added for a sparkley look?

I used one of those scotch guard pads and sorta srub it and cleaned it with acetone, and no problems...

You can, it will coat, but you will not get as good a bond if you don't prep it properly.

a word of caution on adding metal flake....make sure its true metal flake, some of the metal flakes are actually made of ground polyester..
