I looking foward to powdercoating my atv frame but i need to know how clean the frame needs to be to do a really nice job. I almost all the paint off and clean most of the metal but there are some area of really light pant that i cant sand blast off. What is the difference between a sand blaster and a bead blaster ?

You have to take it down to Bare Metal.

Use Glass Bead in your Sand blaster and you have a Bead Blaster, use Sand and it is a Sand Blaster. Only difference in most cases is $$$$

Your end results will only show the effort you put in to the preperation of the object......clean...not only the old paint...not even a speck,,,oils, human body oils included,, a good finish requires attention and I guess cause i'm guilty of this... the degree of the quality you are dedicating to the part..
