  • Local South Florida Shops

    Hello all!

I was wondering if any of you could refer me to some local shops that either do chromming and/or powder/ceramic coating or both.

I'm in Ft. Lauderdale but will travel if it's not to far.

Thanks in advance for the help!

I'll send you an email tonight.

      Here's what my situation is:

Down here in Ft. Lauderdale there is a huge gathering of custom cars, trucks, and motorcycles every Friday night at the Tower Shoppes.

I went there and met up with a guy named Luis Lopez who owns a company called Hot Shot Performance Coatings, Inc. He showed me some stuff he powder coated chrome and ceramic coated chrome.

The ceramic coated pieces looked way better. I don't feel comfortable giving him my pieces without talking to several people.

I really want the items polished but it just takes to much time to do it and I'm definitely not going to pay someone to polish all of the items.

      I have the following....

      Intake Manifold
      Alternator Housing
      AC Condenser Housing
      Master Cylinder Cover
      Belt Tensioner and Pulley
      Alt. Pulley
      Crank Pulley
      Power STerring Pulley
Ther bracket that holds the alternator and ac conderser
The bracket that holds the power steering pump

What would you all suggest I do? Get all the pieces done in ceramic coat or what? I just want to do whatever is going to get me the closest finish that would ressemble chrome.

Please refer me to some people down here if you can or recommend to me what I should do.

      Thanks,

I would guess first off is you need to decide what you want...almost chrome powder is just that almost...but almost counts in hand genades and nuke bombs..everything you mentioned can be pc and look good and last..allllllllong time...if your building a show peice.its hard to beat the real crome..now something I have noticed at cars shows...the most critical people of your car are those that have cars entered and yourself.
sorry i cant help you with recommending anyone..im on the far coast...but you should think about what it is your after in the end then...look for a source to do it..
my thoughts only..no one else here is responsible for them
