PC over chrome?

Did a search for chrome with no luck.What is involved in powder coating over chrome?

i just heat and coat... candy's and translucents look great on chrome

The Yellow Air Cleaner in the Album was chrome and has held up great for several months now.

Clean it and shoot it-- that's it. For rough service use you can scuff the chrome with some scotch-brite or steel wool to give the powder some added bite.

Diggin up an old thread....but what if you use caswell phosphate over a chrome plated surface then shoot a transparent over it? Will the chrome actually dull too much for the transparent to stand out?

The phosphate won't work over chrome.

There's no magic to PC'ing over chrome. Just shoot it and cure.

Thanks Lance. I was thinking of maybe rubbing it down in acetone to get any oils off of it then shooting. I have 2 beadlock rings from my Mickey Thompson wheels that I want to do a blue transparent on to match the truck.
