guess i sorta missed your question the first time around........musta been the Bud....on alum.........well i do alot of stuff for a company that manufactures marine hatches, handles, knobs and a bunch of stuff that goes on yachts and navy, coast guard stuff ( the only damn good thing about this home land security **** ) is im gettin alot of work...they cast there own hatches and use there own secrete sauce in the process....hardest damn alum Ive ever seen........anyways...I soak my parts in acetone.................air dry.....wipe down agin with acetone,,, and shoot........there is ..a treatment that they use on alum before painting....with paint..................and for the life of me I cant remeber what its called...except HELLLLLLLLL if you want to powder coat over it...so..clean it..shoot it.......
