  • Painting over a Powder Coat Finish

Does anyone have experience painting over powder coated products? I have iron stair parts that have a black powder coating on them. I need to know what kind of paint can be used and what is the application process?

    Your help would be appreciated.

your best bet is to sand blast them and paint them with an epoxy paint

the powders tuff..i would probably just light sand and paint over it all with a good epoxy paint.,,,do a test strip in an out of the way place to be safe though..myself I havent had any probs....this is good...I was at a big full blown pc company last week..I watched a guy in there QC area carring around a hand full of magic makers..and every now and the ...dotting the eye ..
